If you’re curious about the how a Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Record Store (LRS) connect together, you’re not alone. There just aren’t enough examples out there, yet. We get this question a lot at Saltbox, since we offer a stand-alone LRS (Wax LRS), and we’re excited to see innovative LMS vendors like LearnUpon give their customers the freedom to choose an external xAPI reporting platform.
LearnUpon now supports the launching, tracking, and reporting of Experience API content (published from most xAPI compatible rapid authoring tools), by sending course result data in the form of Experience API statements to their customers’ preferred Learning Record Store (LRS) for analyis and reporting. It’s as easy as copying and pasting a few lines from an LRS settings page to an LMS configuration screen. Additionally, you can feel assured that LearnUpon has been fully tested with Wax LRS, so things will just work!
